The Backbone of our Organization

It is the spirit of hockey and the compassion of our volunteers that make Hockey Helps the Homeless an organization of great integrity, strength and success. With the support of our Toronto volunteer committee, we will continue to operate professional and efficient tournaments that ensure the effectiveness of every dollar we receive from our sponsors, donors and participants

Hockey Helps The Homeless currently organizes annual fundraising tournaments in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara, Calgary and Vancouver and is actively seeking community-minded volunteers in the in the cities of Edmonton and Winnipeg to join our growing team.

Here’s what we look for from our volunteers:

• A passion for hockey and/or a passion for helping the homeless
• People who like to work within a team environment
• A commitment that is either event specific (timed around our November tournaments) or year-round (helping with new initiatives, fundraising or support for outreach partners), depending on the role they want to play.
• Interest in spreading the word about Hockey Helps the Homeless and engaging others to support us through their circle of family, friends, colleagues and business contacts.
