Molly Engstrom, CWHL, Olympic Medalist

Engstrom had quite the collegiate career while playing for the University of Wisconsin. She was named an All-America First Team selection, and twice earned WCHA Defensive Player of the Year honours.

Named Western Collegiate Hockey Association's Defensive Player of the Year twice (2003, 2004) and was a top-10 finalist for the 2005 Patty Kazmaier Award.

Played for the University of Wisconsin and was honored with the Badger Award her junior year, which is presented to the player who best exemplifies passion, humility and unity.

Finished her senior collegiate season ranked third in the nation for defensemen scoring with 21 points.

After her four-year collegiate career, Molly moved to the international stage where she is a member of Team USA.

Engstrom was a member of the 2006 US Olympic Hockey Team that won a bronze medal. In addition, Engstrom was a five-time member of the U.S. Women's National Team for the International Ice Hockey Federation World Women's Championship. At the Worlds, Engstrom captured the Gold in 2005, 2008 and 09, and the silver in 2004 and 2007. She was named the IIHF World Championships top defenseman in 2007. She was also a two-time member of the U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team in 2003 and 2004. Engstrom was also a seven-time USA Hockey Women's National Festival participant (2002–05, 2007–09).

In 2008, Engstrom was a member of the Brampton Thunder team that won the inaugural CWHL Clarkson Cup. Engstrom scored the winning goal as Brampton defeated the Mississauga Chiefs 4-3 in overtime.
