Our Mission

Leverage Canada's affinity for hockey to raise awareness and support for the homeless through education, fundraising and partnering with outreach organizations.

Over the next 3 years, Hockey Helps the Homeless intends to help raise the profile of homelessness in Canada. We have a reputation for producing well-organized hockey tournaments, founded on the notion of bringing hockey enthusiasts together for a great cause.

Going forward, we will enhance our tournaments with more on-site events as well as an improved Online Fundraising Program. This combined with an impressive multi-tier fundraising incentive program will encourage anyone to fundraise on behalf of Hockey Helps the Homeless.

We’re also pleased to announce that Toronto will host our first ever Hockey Helps the Homeless Mega Event that will pair up our annual Toronto men’s tournament with our first ever women’s tournament. Hockey Helps the Homeless will also be launching a Student Ambassador Program that will see our fundraising platform and partner messages reach out to private high schools in Montreal and Toronto next November.

Strong corporate partnerships are fundamental to enhancing our programs and connecting Hockey Helps the Homeless to wider hockey audiences and communities. Recently we finalized key partnerships with a select group of equipment manufacturers who will be our official equipment suppliers for all tournaments and related events.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. They make Hockey Helps the Homeless an organization of great integrity, strength and success. With the support of our amazing local volunteer committees, we will continue to operate professional tournaments that will maximize every dollar we receive from our sponsors, donors and participants.
